The Breakdown on Skills & Pickup Nights

4pm - 5pm, Tuesdays & Thursdays

America has the slowest growing soccer community due to the lack of pick-up games. I am looking to solve that problem while simaltaneously creating a space for parents to have time for their own daily bread. The third and sixth week parents should plan to jump in for some exercise and a game all kids love - Adults vs Kids.

There will be 30 minutes of skills before the 30 minute pickup game. I will be directly involved during skills and do my best to let the kids run their pickup game. I will continue to monitor them to ensure they all understand the rules and are playing safely with each other. I encourage anyone who can to stay longer, but as a new mom, I will only stay for about an hour total.

While I will not force Bible Study on you, I will require you to stay during the hour. I believe we need to safely guard our children. Due to recent events in the community I think all adults should be on deck to look out for our young.

Regardless of age, I will be striving to meet individual needs. I do not want to take over your role as a parent, but I do want to reinforce your values and wisdom. Often, coaches and teachers will take their roles too far. We have all been fed data on how much time needs to be put into some thing to be great at it. While I do you want your children to master soccer if that’s what they would like to do, I do not want soccer to become a master of their lives. Soccer became a god in my life when I was a child. The overall goal of this Academy is to keep God as the center of your child’s life and teach them how to give Him glory through their wins and losses on and off of the soccer field.

The six week commitment I will have everyone sign is to ensure there are enough players and hold everyone liable to the extra fee I will charge for no-shows. Please do not take this commitment lightly. I am charging as little as possible and just enough to be able to allow children that might not be able to afford to play a “scholarship”
